The Onkaparinga Dressage Championships is a non-official event perfect for those in the early stages of their dressage journey, young horses as well as the more experienced combination.

Competitors gather to demonstrate their proficiency in dressage, a discipline that emphasizes harmony, precision, and elegance.

This championship features multiple classes based on skill level, from Prepartory to Elementary categories. Riders are judged on their ability to execute a series of predetermined movements known as "tests," which assess their control, timing, and the horse's responsiveness. Each performance is evaluated by a panel of judges, ensuring a fair and comprehensive assessment of each duo's talents.

In addition to the competitive aspect, the championships serve as a communal gathering for equestrian enthusiasts. Spectators can witness the grace and athleticism of the horses, while also enjoying the camaraderie among competitors and their support teams.

This event is one of the highlights of our club calendar and we look forward to seeing you there.

Day Information

• Entries on the day available at the canteen

• Starting height - Poles on the Ground

• Course walk 9.30am for 10:00am start

• Horses may be ridden in a maximum of 6 rounds across 3 consecutive levels

• Canteen facilities available

• Non-Members welcomed $20 Day membership applies

• Sorry, no dogs allowed

• Covered shoes must be worn by everyone

• Riding boots and an approved helmet must be worn when mounted

• Entries are not accepted unless payment has been made in full

Everyone is welcomed, it’s a fun day to try different obstacles on the ground or ridden.

Gate opens at 9am for a 10am Start 😊

$20 day membership & completion of an insurance waiver applies.

Annual Single or Family membership available too. Our small committee is always looking for helpers & committee members please see Renee or Maddi with any enquiries.

Please wear current Australian safety standard riding boots and helmets.
